Maples Group Announces Asian Legal Leadership Structure

The firm has operated in Asia for about three decades and has offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai. In total, it has a total of 18 offices.
Offshore law, fund and fiduciary services firm, The Maples Group, has unveiled a new Asian leadership structure for its law firm.
With immediate effect, Michael Gagie has been appointed as regional managing partner for Asia. Gagie has spent the past decade working in leadership roles across the group's Asia offices in Hong Kong and Singapore. He now assumes executive and leadership responsibility for the group's law firms in Hong Kong and Singapore.
The other appointments were confirmed by the firm in its statement last Friday:
-- Matt Roberts, head of the Asia corporate practice;
-- John Trehey, head of the Asia dispute resolution and
insolvency practice;
-- Michael Gagie, head of the Asia finance practice;
and
-- Ann Ng and Anthony Webster, co-heads of the Asia funds and
investment management practice.
Gagie and the newly appointed Asia practice group leaders will continue to work alongside Eastern Fong, Charlie Sparrow, Hugh Thompson and Daniel Synk. They lead the Group's fund and fiduciary services businesses in the region.
