NAB's Asset Management Arm Makes Senior Hire

This publication carries latest news on moves and appointments in the Asian wealth management industry.

NAB Asset Management, part of National Australia Bank, has appointed Ross Kent as head of global institutional distribution, joining from Australia & New Zealand Banking Group. He starts the role on 2 May and takes over from Rob Sullivan.

At ANZ, he was institutional regional director at Dimensional Fund Advisors. He has also held the roles of CEO for Australia and New Zealand and executive director at AllianceBernstein.

Prior to this, Kent was managing director for AMP Financial Services in New Zealand.

Among other developments at NAB, last week it renamed its private banking arm as it pushed further at the market for Australian high net worth individuals. NAB rebranded this part of its business as NAB Private, described in a statement as being a “pure private banking proposition for HNW clients”. The operation will also connect clients to JBWere, its specialist private wealth advisory business.
