Neuberger Berman Expands In Singapore With New UCITS Products

Neuberger Berman launches three new UCITS fund products in Singapore.
Neuberger Berman Singapore, the unit of New York-based investment manager Neuberger Berman Group, has expanded its retail offering with the launch of three UCITS funds.
The Neuberger Berman High Yield Bond Fund, Neuberger Berman US Multi-Cap Opportunities Fund and Neuberger Berman Short Duration High Yield Bond Fund will be part of the firm's Ireland-based Neuberger Berman Investment Funds UCITS range, said the firm in a statement. The range currently managers some $21 billion in assets for institutional and individual clients, including over $1.5 billion raised from its presence in Taiwan. The company has also obtained authorisation for 11 of its UCITS funds for sale to individual investors in Hong Kong.
"We continue our expansion into Asia by offering some of our most popular funds to retail investors in Singapore. It is crucial that we are able to offer these strategies to address an increasingly global client demand," said Nick Hoar, managing director and head of Asia-Pacific.
UCITS funds refer to the title "Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferrable Securities," which are retail funds authorised by one of the member states of the European Union.
Neuberger Berman has offices in 16 countries and manages $242 billion in client assets as at 31 December 2013.
