New Appointment At Standard Chartered

The latest moves and appointments at Standard Chartered Bank.
Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Samir Subberwal as global head of digital business, in addition to his current role as head of consumer, private and business banking in Asia.
In this new role, which starts immediately, he will lead and drive the bank’s digital business strategy, including its digital banks, sales and ventures, the firm said in a statement yesterday.
Subberwal has been with the bank for 28 years and has deep and extensive knowledge of the consumer business. He recently played a pivotal role in the direction of MOX, the firm’s digital bank in Hong Kong.
Subberwal will still be based in Hong Kong reporting to Judy Hsu, CEO, consumer, private and business banking, the bank added.
