New CEO For Asia Named By Indosuez Wealth Management
The new CEO and Singapore branch manager, due to take the post from the start of March next year, will be taking the helm from a predecessor who has spent more than 20 years at the business.
Indosuez Wealth Management has appointed Laurent Proutière as CEO for Asia and as Singapore branch manager, taking effect from 1 March next year. The appointment is subject to regulatory approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Proutière, based in Singapore, will report to Isabelle Jacob-Nebout, head of wealth management, CA Indosuez (Switzerland) SA. He will be succeeding Omar Shokur who will be pursuing professional opportunities outside of the Crédit Agricole Group after more than two decades with the organisation.
“Laurent brings close to 30 years of experience in financial services, including the past two decades at Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, predominantly in Asia,” Jacob-Nebout said.
She also thanked Shokur for his time in the post. “He steered Indosuez through the unprecedented challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring the continuity of our business and the safety of our clients and teams while laying the foundation for growth that continues to benefit the firm today.”
Proutière’s experience in Asia includes work in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan. In all, he has worked in financial services for almost 30 years.
Prior to this, he was head of international trade and transaction banking for Asia-Pacific at Crédit Agricole CIB. Before that, he was CEO for Crédit Agricole CIB Taipei Branch. Proutière started his career in 1998 working for the equity brokerage division of Société Générale in Japan before joining Crédit Agricole Group in 2002.
