UK insurer Standard Life has hired Stephen Ingledew to develop its distribution capacity and capability and, in particular, to focus on the development and delivery of strategic distribution deals. This is a new role within the company, reporting to Paul Matthews, managing director with responsibility for distribution.

Mr Ingledew joins from Barclays Financial Planning where he was commercial director.
