New Hong Kong Private Client Law Practice Starts Business

The fast-growing private client segment and surging wealth in Greater China have driven demand for the firm's private client services, the founder says.

Rita Ku & Solicitors yesterday announced that its independent legal practice in Hong Kong has started operation, focusing on private clients.

Founded by Hong Kong family law veteran Rita Ku, RKS provides a variety of solutions to clients with international links, for example.

"At RKS, we see substantial growth opportunities in service demand driven by the fast-growing private client segment and surging wealth in Greater China,” Ku, who is principal of the firm, said.

“Our specialism in all aspects of family matters spanning across cross-jurisdictional family, matrimonial, death and incapacitation, trusts, wills, as well as family legacy, probate, and succession planning, positions us well to serve the unmet and growing needs of private clients in an international environment,” Ku said.

Ku was previously a partner at a Withers, according to her LinkedIn profile. She has advised on several landmark and precedent-setting cases that have reached the Court of Appeal and the Court of Final Appeal, propelling the progressive development of family law in Hong Kong.
