Northern Trust Appoints Head Of Asian Global Funds Services

The US-based wealth manager has added to its management team in Asia.

Northern Trust, the Chicago-headquartered wealth and asset management firm, has appointed Caroline Higgins as head of its global funds services in Asia.

Higgins joins from Brown Brothers Harriman, the oldest private bank in the US, where she was head of transfer agency for Asia. She has 25 years’ industry experience in the fund servicing sector.

In her new role, she will be based in Hong Kong and will focus on bringing Northern Trust’s range of tailored fund servicing solutions to Asia-based investment manager clients. She is also charged with expanding the company’s range of region-specific products and capabilities.

Additionally, she will provide expertise and solutions for the firm’s existing clients and assist them in distributing their products in the region.

“Appointing Caroline to focus on Asia and our cross-border business underlines our commitment to continuing to support our clients with fund administration solutions that meet their unique and regionally-specific requirements,” said Peter Jordan, head of Northern Trust’s global fund services in the Asia-Pacific region.

This publication in awaiting confirmation as to whether Higgins is taking on a newly-created role or replacing someone and will update accordingly.
