Northern Trust Changes Asia-Pacific Leadership In Push For Growth

The Chicago-headquartered banking and financial services group has named Rohan Singh and Madeleine Senior in leadership roles across Asia-Pacific.

Northern Trust has appointed its Australia and New Zealand country head, Rohan Singh, to lead Singapore and South East Asia regions.

In the new role, Singh takes on responsibilities previously held by the company's head of Asia-Pacific region, William Mak. He returns to Singapore, having previously been based there as Northern Trust's head of asset servicing sales for Asia-Pacific, to drive the asset servicing and asset management business across South East Asia.

“Asia-Pacific is Northern Trust’s fastest growing region and we continue to invest in strong leadership and operational capacity to drive our growth,” said Mak.

“Rohan has been instrumental in the growth of our Australia and New Zealand business, and his market expertise and leadership will be integral as we continue to grow in South East Asia.”

Replacing Singh as head of Australia and New Zealand will be Madeleine Senior, who most recently served as the company's head of business development for its asset servicing business in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Senior will take on her new role in September and report to Mak.

“Madeleine has been instrumental in the successful growth of our European business during a time of increased regulatory change and market consolidation, and her leadership and expertise will be invaluable in ensuring the continued expansion of our business in Australia and New Zealand,” said Mak.

Earlier this year, the group appointed Michael Wu in a newly created position as head of Greater China.
