Offshore Law Firm Expands Into Hong Kong

The law firm has expanded into the Asia region.

Offshore law firm Collas Crill has established a representative office in Hong Kong and appointed Simon Fraser, also based in Hong Kong, as a consultant to the firm. The move comes after the organisation expanded into the British Virgin Islands.

The Hong Kong office adds to its footprint in BVI, Cayman, Guernsey, Jersey, London and Singapore.

Stephen Adams, managing partner of the Singapore office, will have responsibility for Hong Kong.

Fraser has more than 20 years experience as a solicitor in England and Wales and Hong Kong (currently non-practising in both jurisdictions) and more than 14 years of fiduciary experience at senior level with two offshore trust companies, Collas Crill said in a statement.

"We are seeing a huge amount of growth in our business sourced from Hong Kong and it's important that we take the opportunity to build on that success," Adams said. "This is also another chance for us to further develop the relationships that we have already established in Singapore over the last six years. A presence in Hong Kong is the next step in extending Collas Crill's international offering across Asia, the Caribbean and the Channel Islands and we are very excited to continue on this journey," he said.
