PGIM Investments Names Southeast Asia Head

The newly-appointed figure will widen partnerships with private banks, family offices, wealth managers and global financial institutions in Asia.

PGIM Investments, the global intermediary business of PGIM, the $1.4 trillion global investment management business of US-based Prudential Financial, has appointed Brenda Leow (main picture) as head of Southeast Asia, effective immediately.

Based in Singapore, reporting to Jessica Jones, PGIM Investments’ head of Asia, Leow will lead the wholesale sales and distribution of the firm’s investment strategies across key markets in Southeast Asia. She will also be responsible for expanding partnerships with private banks, family offices, wealth managers and global financial institutions in Asia.

“With Asia poised to lead in wealth creation globally, we are seeing growing demand from investors for innovative strategies across public markets and private alternatives,” Jones said in a statement.

Leow has more than 20 years of experience in the asset management industry across sales and distribution, marketing, as well as product development. Most recently, she was head of business management at SBI Digital Markets. Prior to SBI, she spent nearly a decade at Natixis Investment Managers, where her last role was serving as head of wholesale and retail sales for Southeast Asia. She has also held positions at Fullerton Fund Management, Deutsche Asset Management, and SG Asset Management.
