Paragon Names Senior Banking Figure As MD, Strategist

The newly-appointed figure, who is based in Singapore, has more than two decades of banking, investment and wealth management experience.
Paragon Capital Management has appointed senior banking industry figure Trevor Lau as managing director and strategist, based in Singapore.
Lau will report to Paul Lee, co-founder, CEO, and chief investment officer of PCM, and Irene Ng, chief operations officer and compliance/risk officer of PCM, the firm said in a statement late last week.
With more than 20 years’ private banking, wealth management and investment strategy experience in Asia, Lau has held senior positions at Credit Suisse, Azura Investment Partners, UBS, and Citi Private Bank. As CEO at Azura, Lau established the Singapore office, secured regulatory licensing, and led the strategic launch of the firm’s Asia platform. At UBS, he was managing director and head of the bank’s entrepreneur segment for Southeast Asia, and worked at Credit Suisse for more than a decade.
Lau has been a CFA charterholder since 2000. He holds a master of science in applied finance from the National University of Singapore and a bachelor of business (second upper honours) from Nanyang Technological University.
