Rawlinson & Hunter Cleared To Offer Trusts Advice, Services In Singapore

The Singapore financial regulator has cleared the way for an international professional services firm to offer advice and trust services.

Rawlinson & Hunter, the international firm specialising in financial advice and fiduciary services, has been granted regulatory clearance in Singapore to offer full private client services, including trust structuring and administration.

The organisation has secured a trust licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the jurisdiction’s financial regulator, it said on Friday.

“Having our Singapore trust licence allows us to provide our full suite of private client services. It shows our commitment to our clients in the region and cements our view that Singapore is an important and strategic jurisdiction for the global wealth planning industry,” said Peter Milnes, managing partner of the firm.

Milnes leads the trust team along with John Chew, who recently came across from Rawlinson & Hunter (BVI), where he worked for eight years. He is a qualified accountant and TEP practitioner, with 35 years' experience in the sector, working in a number of countries.

The firm was set up more than 80 years ago and has offices in the Cayman Islands, Australia, Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, Guernsey, Jersey, New Zealand, Singapore, Geneva, Zurich and the UK.
