SJP Practice Recruits Senior Banker In Singapore

UK-listed St James's Place has been adding to its Asia presence, expanding since it bought the Henley Group in 2014 to tap into the region's wealth.

Eight Wealth International, a principal partner practice of wealth management group St James’s Place, has appointed former senior Schroders, UBS and Credit Suisse figure Simon Lints as a strategic advisor based in Singapore.

Lints has worked in the wealth sector for more than three decades, working in Asia, Europe and Middle East. Prior to joining EWI, Lints served in senior roles in wealth management and private banking at Credit Suisse and UBS, and was most recently the chief executive of Schroders Wealth Management Singapore where he looked after the Southeast Asia portfolio.

As part of Lints’ role with EWI, he will focus on increasing the firm’s strategic expansion and business development in Asia.

UK-listed SJP has offices across the UK, and internationally in Singapore, Hong Kong and China. The firm has more than £154 billion ($190.9 billion) of client funds under management. Since acquiring The Henley Group in 2014 – an Asian wealth advice company – SJP raised its Asia wealth management profile and serves local and expatriate communities.
