Schonfeld hires fund-group strategic planning head

Ex-ACK Asset executive joins New York-based alternative investment manager. New York-based Schonfeld Group Holdings has recruited David Rhudy as director of strategic planning and investor relations for its asset-management arm SB Schonfeld Fund Advisors.

Better target

"An appointment of this caliber re-affirms our commitment to building out our asset-management group," says Steven Schonfeld, CEO of New York-based Schonfeld. "David brings a wealth of experience to this role and will offer great value in helping SB Schonfeld Fund Advisors better target its offerings towards its existing customers, while considering what new offerings will appeal to a broader institutional audience."

Rhudy, who has more than 20 years' experience in alternatives and wealth management, joins Schonfeld from White Plains, N.Y.-based ACK Asset Partners, where he was responsible for client retention as well as assets in private equity and hedge funds.

At Schonfeld, Rhudy will analyze and identify investment opportunities and guide business development and investment strategy.

Schonfeld manages more than $500 million in single-manager and fund-of-funds investment products. -FWR
