Senior RBC Wealth Management Figure Departs

The departing figure has worked in a variety of firms, including StormHarbour Securities, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.

A senior figure at RBC Wealth Management in Asia, Nick Chan, has left the Canadian group, this publication can confirm.

Chan, based in Hong Kong, has been at the firm since December 2021, where he was head of private banking for North Asia, and subsequently head of sales for Asia.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Chan was deputy CEO and head of the Asia-Pacific family office division at StormHarbour Securities from January 2020 to September 2021; before that, he worked for 13 years at Morgan Stanley in various roles, including that of head of Southeast Asia private banking; prior to this, he was based in Singapore working for Goldman Sachs.

A report has said that RBC Wealth Management’s Asia head, Terence Chow, would be taking Chan’s role in the interim. When asked by WealthBriefingAsia, a spokesperson confirmed the details.
