Societe Generale Names Singapore, Southeast Asia Country Head

The newly-installed country head has worked in the sector for 28 years.
Societe Generale, the French bank, has appointed Alvaro Huete as country head for Singapore and Southeast Asia, effective immediately, based in Singapore.
Huete will oversee the bank’s global banking and investor solutions (GBIS) business activities across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

The appointment came a month after Jerome Niddam was named CEO for Societe Generale Asia-Pacific.
Huete, who brings 28 years of experience in his new role, will report to Niddam.
“With 28 years of experience at Societe Generale, Alvaro has a strong understanding of our clients’ businesses and a deep expertise in financing and advisory to meet their needs. He will play an instrumental role in further developing the GBIS business in Singapore and in continuing to deliver value-added advisory and financial solutions to clients across Southeast Asia,” the bank concluded.
