Standard Chartered Names Global Leverage, Structured Solutions Head

The bank has made a senior appointment in its Singapore office.

Standard Chartered has appointed Lyndon Hsu to the role of global head for leveraged and structured solutions. The UK-listed bank said he will be responsible for a business that has an increasing focus on originating and structuring solutions for clients.

In this role he reports to Sumit Dayal, global head, corporate finance. Hsu replaces Sanjay Chowdhry who left the bank late last week, a spokesperson told this publication when asked about the matter.

Hsu has 29 years of experience in corporate financing in the Asia Pacific region. His prior experience most recently includes establishing and maintaining a prominent Asia-Pacific acquisition financing business while HSBC’s head of leveraged and acquisition finance for Asia-Pacific. He has also worked at Credit Suisse.

“His wealth of financing experience in Asia will undoubtedly add to our bench strength,” Dayal said.
