Standard Chartered Wealth Management HK Names New Team Heads

The new team heads have been promoted as part of the firm's aim to recognise and reward internal talent.

Standard Chartered Wealth Management HK has recently made two hires, both effective 12 June. Both are existing employees.

Sabina Chiang has been appointed as head, managed investments, wealth management, to oversee the managed investments business across retail, business and private banking in Hong Kong. Chiang, who reports to Alson Ho, head, wealth management, Hong Kong, was formerly head of managed investments, Private Bank Hong Kong

Chiang has been with the bank since 2014 and has been key in driving the managed investments advisory and distribution business for the bank’s high net worth clients over the last nine years. Chiang’s experience in the financial industry spans wealth management, private banking as well as corporate and investment banking. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, she worked in roles in banks including Bank Julius Baer, BNP Paribas, and Lombard Odier.

Adam Ng, who has been appointed as head of managed investments, Private Bank Hong Kong, will continue to report to Chiang. Since joining the bank in 2020, Ng has been instrumental in executing the Private Bank Managed Investments advisory and distribution business, the lender said. Prior to Standard Chartered, he worked at HSBC Private Banking, where he was an alternative investment specialist advising various alternative solutions to private banking clients. Before that, Adam Ng held various positions in DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners and Deutsche Bank.
