State Street Names Head Of Middle-Office Outsourcing Ops

New York-listed State Street Corporation has appointed Dick Taggart as senior vice president and head of middle-office outsourcing operations across North America for its investment manager services business.

Taggart has over 25 years of industry experience and will report to Jeff Conway, executive vice president and global head of the firm’s investment manager services business.

Most recently, Taggart was senior vice president and head of global operations at AllianceBernstein, where he was responsible for investment management operations. During his time there, he supported institutional services, retail mutual funds and private client businesses, managing over 1,100 employees across ten countries.

The firm said Taggart has expertise in developing and re-engineering global financial services businesses. For example, he recently implemented the outsourcing of AllianceBernstein’s investment operations with State Street.

State Street Corporation has $21.8 trillion in assets under custody and administration, with $1.9 trillion in assets under management as of 31 December 2011.
