Summary Of Senior Wealth Management Moves In Asia-Pacific – July 2025

July was a busy month for moves, with HSBC and RBC among the standouts for high-profile changes and appointments.
RBC Wealth Management appointed a number of senior private bankers across Hong Kong and Singapore.
Singapore
RBC appointed Christopher Chin as executive director. Chin previously worked at Julius Baer, Bank of Singapore and HSBC.
It named Low Keow Teck (“KT”) as executive director. He was most recently market head for North Asia at UOB Private Bank, and earlier served in leadership roles at DBS Private Bank, Société Générale Bank & Trust, HSBC Singapore and Citigroup.
The bank appointed Raymond Heng as managing director. Heng has more than three decades of corporate and private banking experience, including 17 years at UBS, where he most recently served as market head overseeing teams supporting clients across Thailand, the Philippines and other regional markets.
RBC also appointed Wilson Khoo as managing director. Khoo has more than 20 years’ experience, particularly in serving clients from mainland China and Taiwan. Previously, he worked in senior positions at Citi Private Bank, JP Morgan Private Bank and DBS.
Hong Kong
The firm appointed Flora Kam as executive director. Kam, who joined from Bank of Singapore, has also worked at Credit Suisse, UBS and JP Morgan in Hong Kong.
RBC appointed Nce Pan as executive director. Pan, who has more than 20 years’ experience in asset management and investment banking, was most recently a founding partner of DSG Group.
The bank appointed Mark Chan as executive director. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Chan joined from Morgan Stanley where he supported Greater China clients.
Separately, Cynthia Jacinto, market head for Southeast Asia, left the firm. Based in Singapore, she joined RBC in 2022 from Morgan Stanley.
HSBC Global Private Banking set out a range of senior hires across Southeast Asia and selected jurisdictions.
HSBC appointed Joanne Ng as desk head for the Singapore team. Ng, who joined from OCBC Premier Private Client, has more than 22 years of wealth management experience. She reports to Hammad Hashmi, market head for Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
The bank appointed Tim Morse as senior business development manager, based in Australia. An industry veteran, Morse previously served in leadership roles at Citi, JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank.
HSBC appointed Tom Kinnear as a relationship manager covering Australia and international markets. He reports to Kapil Khanna, who was appointed desk head for Australia, Japan and international in July.
HSBC appointed Le Hong Sie as senior relationship manager in its Indonesia team and Leonard Eggert as relationship manager. Both report to Urban Binggeli, desk head for Indonesia.
In Malaysia, HSBC appointed Rayner Wong from Julius Baer and Samuel Chi Hao Kee from HSBC Premier as relationship managers.
The bank also made a series of senior management changes:
It appointed Benoit Douchin as chief operating officer, global private banking, Asia-Pacific. Douchin had been serving in the role ad interim.
HSBC appointed Sami Abouzahr as global head of investments and managed solutions in its wealth and premier solutions division. Abouzahr also took charge of the ultra-high net worth solutions group, succeeding Jan-Marc Fergg.
HSBC appointed Ann Ling as regional head of wealth planning and advisory for Asia-Pacific, succeeding Henry Lam, who retired. Ling is currently team head of wealth planning for Hong Kong, the Philippines and the international market.
Other firms
Legal & General appointed Derek Li as head of institutional sales for Greater China, a newly-created role, based in Hong Kong.
DBS Bank appointed Loic Voide as head of private banking for Middle East & Africa, effective 1 August. Based in Dubai, he reports to Vikas Jaidka, region head (Middle East, Africa, NRI).
Value Partners Group appointed former BlackRock executive Ricky Tang as managing director, co-head of client portfolio management, based in Hong Kong.
OCBC said Tan Teck Long will be appointed group CEO in January 2026, succeeding Helen Wong, who will be retiring at the end of 2025.
EFG International said Oliver Balmelli relocated to London to take up the role of business head for Asia-Pacific, UK.
Vistra appointed Karen Bennett as chief delivery officer, based in Sydney.
UBS appointed Oliver Bareau as market team head in its new Australia international team, based in Singapore.
Natixis CIB appointed Thaddeus Tien as co-head of energy transition and natural resources, Asia-Pacific, and Omkar Joshi as head of the healthcare industry group, Asia-Pacific.
JP Morgan Private Bank appointed Carrie Tang as managing director and wealth advisor, and Luke Yang as executive director and banker.
Eastspring Investments appointed Szu Yi Chin as head of global financial institutions and intermediaries, based in Singapore.
Boston Consulting Group named Yasushi Sasaki as Asia-Pacific chair, based in Tokyo.
Schroders said Lily Choh, head of South Asia, had left after 17 years. Szu Yi Chin, head of wealth for Asia-Pacific, also left.
M&G appointed Nadia Nikolova as chief executive of responsAbility, succeeding Rochus Mommartz, who retired.
Vistra appointed Kim Jenkins as chief executive officer, succeeding Simon Webster.
UBS appointed Philippe Spielhofer as co-head for financial intermediaries, Asia-Pacific, and Pierre Widmer as head of advisory and sales for North Asia.
