Sun Life In Hong Kong Makes Senior Hire

The firm's services cover asset management, wealth, insurance and health solutions to individual and institutional clients.

Sun Life Hong Kong Limited, part of Sun Life, has appointed Eleonore Chow as general manager for its agency business.

Chow brings almost 30 years of experience in the insurance industry to her new role. Prior to joining the firm, she was chief partnership distribution officer at AXA. Chow has also worked in various senior positions at major insurance companies.

“Agency growth is the most fundamental piece in our transformation journey, so her deep experience in agency and distribution will be instrumental as we continue to grow our agency force,” Clement Lam, chief executive of Sun Life Hong Kong Limited, said.

Sun Life’s financial services cover asset management, wealth, insurance and health solutions to individual and institutional clients. It operates around the world, including Canada, the US, the UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, India, China, Australia, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia and Bermuda. It trades on stock markets in New York, Canada and the Philippines.

In early August, Sun Life appointed Chris Wei in the newly-created role of chief client and innovation officer. A few days prior to this, the firm said it had agreed to sell Sun Life UK to Phoenix Group Holdings, a London-based long-term savings and retirement business.
