SYZ & Co, the Swiss bank and investment house, has appointed Suzanna Wong as head of sales in Asia and Hong Kong office head, having previously worked at Swiss & Global Asset Management.

SYZ & Co, the Swiss bank and investment house, has appointed Suzanna Wong as head of sales in Asia and Hong Kong office head, having previously worked at Swiss & Global Asset Management.

Wong replaces Daniel Ghirardi, who was the previous chief executive for SYZ & CO in Asia and wanted to return to Europe. The role of CEO was a legal term but the function was the same as that held by Wong now, a spokesperson for the bank told this publication when asked.

Wong will be responsible for sales and business development in Asia for SYZ Asset Management, the group's institutional asset management entity. Prior to joining SYZ & CO, she was an executive director and head of sales for Asia at Swiss & Global Asset Management (formerly Julius Baer Asset Management). Previously, she held various product development and marketing roles in investment products at Citibank and HSBC, SYZ & Co said in a statement.

The firm has been active in Hong Kong since 2007, where its SYZ & CO (Hong Kong) subsidiary targets private bank distribution, institutional investors and promotes SYZ Asset Management's activities and range of investment funds.
