Banque Cantonale de Fribourg, the state bank of the Swiss canton of Fribourg, has selected SunGard’s Ambit MINT, part of the Ambit Messaging solution suite, media reports said.

The product gives the Swiss bank connections to a number of financial networks, including SWIFT, SIC, euroSIC and SECOM, helping the bank to improve operational efficiency, manage risk and reduce costs, SunGard said in a statement.

SunGard’s Ambit Messaging is a global solution that is able to handle SWIFTNet services as well as traditional SWIFT FIN and SIC/Secom Swiss local market clearing connectivity.
