Top-Level Asia Changes At Howden
Part of the business includes providing insurance-related services to private wealthy individuals.
Howden, the global insurance intermediary group which covers areas including private wealth, has named Rohan Bhappu (pictured) as deputy CEO, Howden Asia, part of a senior reshuffle.
When he takes up his position in June 2025, once he has fulfilled his contractual obligations to his employer, Bhappu will be based in Hong Kong, and will report to Chye Huat Goh, CEO, Howden Asia.
On 1 October next year, Bhappu will become CEO of Howden Asia, reporting to David Howden, CEO, Howden.
Goh will then succeed Mark Wood as chairman of the region and become chairman of private wealth. Wood will continue to lead Howden’s global specialty practices.
Bhappu, who was formerly CEO, Marsh McLennan Hong Kong and Macau will be joining from Marsh McLennan, where he has spent the last 22 years working in jurisdictions including the US, India, Singapore and Hong Kong. Previously, he was CEO, Marsh, Hong Kong and Macau where he oversaw the integration of JLT further to its acquisition by the US broker in 2019.
