UBP Appoints New Team Head, North Asia

The new hire is in line with UBP's dedication to attracting top industry talent in order to deliver its wealth propositions and grow its business across Asia.
Union Bancaire Privée has appointed Andrew Chin as team head, North Asia.
Based in Hong Kong, Chin reports to Ivan Wong, region head North Asia and chief executive Hong Kong. Chin will lead a team of relationship managers to increase the strength of the bank’s North Asia client coverage and provide bespoke and innovative advisory services to meet the sophisticated needs of the North Asia ultra-high net worth segment.
Chin was most recently desk head - UHNW Hong Kong at HSBC Global Private Banking, where he managed a team of senior relationship managers and worked closely with institutional family offices in Asia. Prior to that, he was head of investment counselling, also at HSBC Global Private Banking, covering Hong Kong, the Philippines and international markets. Chin also served in senior roles at the corporate treasury solutions team, HSBC Global Markets.

UBP, which specialises in wealth management for both private and institutional clients, is headquartered in Geneva and employs 1,960 people in over twenty locations worldwide. It holds SFr140.4 ($158.01) billion in assets under management (as of 31 December 2022).
