UBS was the main beneficiary of last night’s Euromoney global private banking awards. Apart from winning the top award – best private bank – the world’s largest wealth manager came in the top three of 25 banking service categories out of total of 27.

The Zurich-based bank won the regional best private bank in Asia, Europe, Emerging Europe and Africa, but only top bank in six countries – Jersey, Luxembourg, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Bahamas – out of 50 in the survey.

Credit Suisse won the top private bank in its home market, Switzerland, beating UBS into second place. And Coutts beat UBS into second place in the UK. JP Morgan and Citigroup Private Bank took first and second place in the US.
