UBS In Israel Names Tech Head

The appointment is also a reminder of Israel's standing as a major hub for technology production and innovation.
UBS in Israel has named Yael Waisbourd-Sucary as its technology head. The move was reported by the publication CTech and confirmed to WealthBriefing by a spokesperson for the bank.
Waisbourd-Sucary was appointed as part of UBS’s push to offer the Israeli high-tech sector customised global solutions for management of personal and business wealth. She has worked as innovation and fintech head at Discount Bank and before that she was fintech head at Bank Hapoalim.
Technology is an important driver of wealth in Israel, which has forged close links to tech hubs such as Silicon Valley over recent decades. Israel’s new-found trade and financial links with the United Arab Emirates, for example, also create potential new channels. See this interview with Citigroup, for example.
