The new managing director will be responsible for running the Hong Kong office and will work closely with the Singapore office's managing director.

UK-based fund manager First Names Group has appointed Stuart Dowding as managing director of its Hong Kong operation.

He will be responsible for running the Hong Kong office and will work closely with Singapore managing director Karen O’Hanlon. This publication is currently checking whether this is a new role or if Dowding replaced someone in the position.

Dowding was originally based in its Guernsey office, where he was responsible for business development. He relocated to Hong Kong in February 2017 to manage the senior team in the region.

The new managing director has 25 years’ experience in the industry and specialises in corporate and trust structures.
