UOB Private Bank Names New Managing Director

The new MD will be important in advancing UOB Private Bank's growth ambitions as it deepens client relationships, expands its presence across ASEAN wealth corridors, and works towards doubling its wealth management income by 2030.

Singapore-headquartered UOB Private Bank, the wealth management arm of United Overseas Bank, has appointed Dominique Boer (pictured) as managing director, regional market head, ASEAN, UOB Private Bank, with effect from 17 September 2026. She will be based in Singapore and report directly to Chew Mun Yew, head of UOB Private Bank.

ASEAN is central to UOB’s ambition as a regional bank. With a network across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam, UOB serves more than eight million customers across the region.

As wealth creation accelerates across ASEAN, UOB said it is investing in its wealth franchise to capture the opportunities emerging from the region's growing affluent and high net worth segments. Asia’s share of global private wealth has risen from 6 per cent to 21 per cent over the past 25 years and is projected to reach $99 trillion by 2029.

Against this backdrop, Boer’s regional experience will be important in advancing UOB Private Bank's growth ambitions in ASEAN, the firm said in a statement. She brings 35 years of financial services experience spanning private banking, retail banking, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and corporate banking. Over the past two decades, Boer has served in senior roles within private banking with responsibility across Asia Pacific. Most recently, she led private client and international market businesses, including coverage of the Philippines, India and Australia, as well as private wealth and global financial intermediary segments.

Her appointment will strengthen UOB Private Bank’s regional leadership as it deepens client relationships, expands its presence across ASEAN wealth corridors, and works towards doubling its wealth management income by 2030, the firm continued.
