US Wealth Manager Pushes Into Taiwan's HNW Market

The partnership demonstrates the kind of agreement Western firms have made with local Asian players to get into specific markets, such as Thailand and Vietnam.

US-based Thornburg Investment Management is pushing into Taiwan’s high net worth market by partnering with Concord Capital Management, this publication can confirm.

A media report stated that the independent asset management has teamed up with Concord to market its global equities, fixed income UCITS funds and separately managed account solutions to clients in Taiwan.

The Taiwanese market has more than 1,000 offshore funds.

WealthBriefingAsia has sought more details from Thornburg about the partnership - an example of the kind of local tie-ups that Western financial firms are using to access markets such as Vietnam and Thailand.
