VP Reshuffles Wealth Leadership In Hong Kong

As part of the change, the existing head of VP Wealth Management in Hong Kong will return to Singapore to be Asia chief risk officer, and will also carry out other roles.
VP Bank has reshuffled the leadership of its wealth business in Hong Kong.
It has appointed Will Wang as head of Hong Kong for VP Wealth Management (Hong Kong) Ltd and chief representative of VP Bank AG Hong Kong Representative Office. Based in Hong Kong, he will be stepping down from his role as alternative solutions head, but will keep his responsibilities as the head of strategic partnerships for Asia.
Following the appointment, Reto Marx will return to Singapore to take up the job of chief risk officer for Asia and head of product and solutions for Asia (ad interim). He will relinquish his role as head of Hong Kong for VP Wealth Management (Hong Kong) Ltd.
Marx is responsible for risk management advisory and governance matters, as well as overseeing VP's operational risk, legal and compliance functions in Asia. This is a newly-created role.
Both individuals continue to report to Pamela Phua, chief executive for Asia.
“As the region continues to attract inbound wealth, both from our financial intermediaries and private clients, we must strategically align our business to meet evolving client needs, maintain our service excellence and remain relevant. These key leadership appointments will reinforce our position in the industry and demonstrate our unwavering commitment to sustainable growth and success in the Asia region,” Phua said.
