Vistra Names Japan Country MD

The firm intends to expand further in Japan, South Korea and Australia.
Vistra, which provides business services, has appointed Kevin Smythe as country managing director for Japan.
With over five and a half years in Japan at Vistra and a former Tricor employee, Smythe served in roles as director of sales and marketing and leader of the company secretarial service line.
“His extensive experience and commercial insight will be crucial in driving our growth strategy in Japan and across the JASK region, as he ensures our client and people needs are met with confidence,” Melanie Leydin, regional managing director for Japan, Australia and South Korea (JASK), Vistra, said.
Smythe started his career as an auditor with EY in Silicon Valley. After leaving public accounting, he served in various leadership positions within the finance organisation, including roles collaborating on cross-border projects between the US and Japan.
In March 2023, Vistra issued its new brand.
