The former Deutsche Bank figure has worked in the asset, investment banking and private banking industry for three decades.

Australia’s Westpac has appointed former Deutsche Bank| figure Stefanie Holtze-Jen (pictured) as deputy chief investment officer, private wealth.

At Deutsche, Holtze-Jen worked at the private banking arm of the bank in Singapore, as chief investment officer for Asia-Pacific, according to Westpac’s Linkedin page. In total, she has worked for 30 years in investment banking, asset management and private banking across Europe and APAC.

“Stefanie joins us at an important time as we continue to invest in growing our Global Investment Services business,” Ashley Stewart, managing director, private wealth at Westpac, said on the Linkedin post. “Her deep global investment and markets experience will be invaluable as we focus on enhancing our  strong analysis and curation of high conviction investment opportunities for our high net worth clients.”

In December 2024, a new CEO at Westpac took the helm. Anthony Mille, who had been CEO of its wealth and business division, had also been at Deutsche Bank prior to joining the lender.

Earlier in August, Westpac announced the appointment of Carolyn McCann as CEO for the consumer banking side; she has almost three decades’ corporate experience, including more than 10 years at Westpac.
