What's New In Investments, Funds? – CICC, Chinese Investment Sector

The latest news in investment offerings, financial products and other services relevant to wealth advisors and their clients.

China International Capital Corporation
China International Capital Corporation has rolled out “Project Embark,” a programme through which CICC aims to partner with Chinese managers on their international growth plans.

CICC, an investment bank, said it is using its role as a link between China and global markets to help bring Chinese investment expertise to the international stage.

The organisation recently held its inaugural “Embark Salon” in Hong Kong in collaboration with the Chinese Overseas Private Funds Association (COPFA) and the Hong Kong Limited Partnership Fund Association (HKLPA).

Such a development comes at a time when Hong Kong, for example, is reported to have already overtaken Switzerland as the world’s largest cross-border financial centre, making it a major hub for funds, among other financial structures.

The CICC Embark Salon series aims to foster dialogue on the international growth of Chinese asset managers, global asset allocation trends, and the development of the cross-border asset management ecosystem.

Founded in 1995, CICC is headquartered in Beijing. Besides its extensive China footprint, CICC has subsidiaries or branches in places including Hong Kong, New York, London, Singapore, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Ho Chi Minh City and Dubai.
