The latest news in investment offerings, financial products and other services relative to wealth advisors and their clients.
Dimensional
US-based Dimensional
Fund Advisors has launched three funds under the Central
Provident Fund Investment Scheme structure.
The funds are Global Equity III Fund; Emerging Markets Large Cap Core Equity III Fund; and Global Core Fixed Income III Fund. Dimensional worked alongside two wealth management firms in Singapore to roll out the funds: Providend and Endowus. Dimensional’s funds will be available through these private wealth planners, with broader distribution to follow, it said in a statement late last week.
“Adding Dimensional’s funds to the CPF Investment Scheme is a game changer for people who want flexible and cost-effective access to world equity and bond markets,” Joel Teasdel, head of wealth management group, Asia ex-Japan, Dimensional, said.
Dimensional is based in Austin, Texas. It takes a “systematic investment process that integrates research insights with advanced portfolio design, management and trading while balancing tradeoffs that can impact return.” The firm, which was founded in 1981, boasts close ties with Nobel laureates on the US side: Merton Miller, Robert Merton, Myron Scholes, Eugene Fama and Douglas Diamond.

European asset management giant Amundi over the latter firm’s
ALTO portfolio management platform.
Amundi Technology and BOB WM want to develop and promote the Chinese market version of the ALTO solution, aimed at players in the Chinese asset management industry.
Under the pact, the ALTO system has now been integrated within the TOS platform of BOB WM.
Amundi aims to tap into China’s wealth and asset management sectors, including the demand for IT capabilities.
