What's New In Investments, Funds? Prudential Singapore Targets Legacy Planning

The latest news in investment offerings, financial products and other services relevant to wealth advisors and their clients.

Prudential Singapore has launched PRUApex Legacy Index II, an indexed universal life (IUL) plan designed for affluent and high net worth customers focused on legacy planning.

The plan lets customers customise how their legacy grows and is passed on, with a choice of index allocations, death benefit payout structures and premium terms. It also carries an additional crediting rate of 0.25 per cent a year for indices with uncapped returns – so-called volatility-controlled indices – along with a one-time bonus crediting rate of up to 6.50 per cent on total account value at the end of the premium term, for a fully paid policy under a multipay premium arrangement.

"Affluent and high net worth individuals are increasingly looking for legacy planning solutions that will evolve with their changing life priorities, giving them greater certainty, control and confidence over how their legacy is passed on to the next generation," Toni Fung, chief customer and marketing officer, Prudential Singapore, said in a statement.

The plan allows customers to diversify premiums across a mix of indices, offering exposure to markets in the US, Europe and emerging markets such as China, South Korea and Brazil, as well as a gold-equity index. Customers can choose between indices with capped and uncapped returns – the latter volatility-controlled, with no cap on potential gains – giving them the flexibility to balance stability and growth potential according to their risk appetite.

Prudential Singapore oversaw S$66.3 billion ($51.3 billion) in assets under management as at 31 December 2025.
