Avendus Capital
Avendus Capital Public Markets Alternate Strategies, the alternate asset management arm of Avendus Capital, is to launch an Indian-based environment, social and governance fund. 

To spearhead this launch, Avendus has teamed up with the Institutional Investor Advisory Services (IiAS), a SEBI registered research firm, who will put in place the ranking framework covering ESG principles. 

Avendus has appointed Dr Rakesh Mohan, ex-RBI deputy governor, and Amit Tandon, co-founder and managing director of IiAS, on the fund’s advisory board.

Abhay Laijawala, who has recently joined Avendus from Deutsche Securities, will be the lead fund manager.
