Odier Investment Managers, the privately-owned asset
management arm of Swiss private bank Lombard Odier, has launched
its Asia Value Bond strategy in Taiwan as part of the
firm’s drive to expand its footprint in Asia and solidify its
commitment to the region.
The strategy is a diversified, blended investment-grade high-yield portfolio and has approximately 260 holdings with an average typical credit rating of BBB, the firm said in a statement. Navigate Investment Consultant has been appointed as the master agent and will be responsible for distributing LOIM’s AVB strategy to institutional, wholesale and private clients in Taiwan.
“We are pleased to bring the Asia Value Bond strategy to Taiwan at a time when we are approaching peak Fed rates and with Asian credit at an unseen high all-in yield opportunity. Standing before us is an incredible long-term income and yield generation ability, coupled with Asian growth resilience, and we are excited to bring that to Taiwan via this total return bond strategy,” Dhiraj Bajaj, head of fixed income, Asia at LOIM, said.
“Taiwan is a strategically important market for Lombard Odier and we believe there is significant opportunity to expand our footprint in the region as an asset manager,” Vincent Magnenat, limited partner, Asia regional head and global head of strategic alliances at Lombard Odier, added.
