Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Citigroup

The latest senior Asia-Pacific moves in the wealth management sector.

Citigroup
Citigroup has appointed Benny Aroeman (pictured) as head of markets for Indonesia. He will report to Sue Lee, head of markets for Asia South and Batara Sianturi, Citi country officer and banking head for Indonesia.

Such roles feed into the ideas and strategies that are shared across the US banking group, including its wealth and private banking businesses.

Aroeman brings more than 30 years of experience in delivering derivatives, structured products and risk management solutions to Indonesian clients. He was most recently at ANZ Indonesia where he had been head of markets for Indonesia since 2019. Prior to this, Aroeman led the sales team for treasury and markets at DBS Indonesia for 12 years. He also served at HSBC Indonesia and Deutsche Indonesia. Aroeman started his career in Garuda Indonesia in Belgium.

Last week, Citigroup appointed Wenjie Zhang as country officer and banking head for China, and president and executive director for Citibank (China) Co, subject to regulatory approvals. He is replacing Aveline San (who is and will remain Hong Kong CCO and banking head) and who was interim country officer for China after Luke Lu resigned for personal reasons late last year.
