The latest moves, appointments and other personnel changes in Asia-Pacific wealth management.
EFG (Singapore Branch)
EFG (Singapore Branch), part of EFG International,
has recently hired two bankers who have joined its global South
Asia team, led by Ravi Ramakrishnan, market group head.
Vikram Nimkar, market head, global South Asia (GSA), reports to Ramakrishnan. He brings 30 years of experience across corporate and institutional banking, capital markets, and private banking/wealth management. Most recently, Nimkar served as head of private banking Asia at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB). Prior to FAB, he served in leadership roles at Westpac, Deutsche Bank and ABN AMRO Bank.
Shonali Batra, client relationship officer, GSA, also based in Singapore, reports to market head, Hussain Poonawalla.
Batra, who has more than 20 years of experience in wealth management, focuses on GSA market clients. Batra held similar positions at LGT, ABN Amro Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and, most recently, First Abu Dhabi Bank where she managed ultra-high net worth and HNW non-resident Indian clients in Singapore, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
At the start of October, EFG Bank AG appointed Robin Heng as vice chairman of Southeast Asia.

Investments, a global asset manager, has appointed Katerina
Irwan as senior vice president, a strategic hire to further
strengthen the firm’s Asia equities function.
Irwan, who will act as portfolio manager, is based in Singapore. She brings more than 18 years of experience in fundamental equity research and portfolio management. Prior to this, she worked at Eastspring Investments, serving as co-lead equity portfolio manager, overseeing more than $2 billion in assets across Asia-Pacific ex-Japan income and real estate strategies. She joined Eastspring Investments in 2007 as a research assistant.
