Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Fairlight Capital Partners, Pacific Life Re

The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes in Asia-Pacific wealth management.

Fairlight Capital Partners
Investment firm Fairlight Capital Partners has appointed William George as partner, part of its push into the advisor and family office markets in Australia.

George is a former associate director of the Table Club, a network of family offices in Australia. He will jointly lead Fairlight’s Australia drive via Sydney, working alongside the group’s co-founder Thomas Gent, and will lead local distribution strategy also alongside Gent.

With roles at firms such KPMG Australia and PAC Partners, George has almost 15 years’ industry experience, Fairlight said in a statement.

Founded in 2018, Fairlight seeds, backs and builds specialist investment managers, including trend-following global macro firm Bowmoor Capital.

Pacific Life Re
Pacific Life Re has appointed Jia Yi Tan as its new global chief underwriting and claims officer, based in the Singapore office.

Jia Yi Tan is taking over from Andrew Doran who has taken on the role of CEO, UnderwriteMe, the Insurtech subsidiary of Pacific Life Re. She has almost 20 years’ experience across Asia-Pacific, Europe and America, including the last five years with Swiss Re.
