Zurich-listed Julius Baer has appointed former UBS senior figure Winfried Daun as global head for brand and marketing.

Daun served in various strategic and leadership roles at UBS for more than 19 years. Most recently, he was “head group brand, creative and innovation.” Before this, he was a consultant at BBDO Consulting and PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting. 

Schroders
Schroders Capital, the $111.8 billion private markets business of Schroders, has appointed Sabrina Meng (pictured below) as head of Schroders Capital Business Development, Asia.

Based in Hong Kong, Meng will be joining the firm on 2 March, reporting to Ingo Heinen, global head of Schroders Capital Business Development. Meng will join the Asia client group executive committee.

As part of her new role, Meng will drive Asia fundraising for Schroders Capital’s Private Debt and Credit Alternatives. This business focuses on specialisms including securitised and asset-based finance, real estate debt, infrastructure debt and insurance-linked securities (ILS).

In total, Meng has 17 years of experience in consulting, investment and fundraising roles across private markets.
