Argent
Financial Group, the wealth management firm, has promoted
Grant Nelson to mineral audit manager.
Nelson, who will focus on determining the accuracy of oil and gas royalties through lease, volumes, price and tax analysis, will report directly to David Luke, president of Argent Mineral Management.
The job highlights how, in a business such as Argent that covers much of the Southern states of the US, handling mineral rights is an important wealth management task.
Nelson joined Argent as audit assistant, compiling client revenue data, reviewing oil and gas leases, assisting in oil and gas royalty audits and audit reporting. In 2020, Nelson was promoted to audit associate and his responsibilities included analyzing client revenue data and performing revenue forecasting models for mineral sale evaluations. Nelson graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a bachelor of science degree in finance.
