Australian life insurer TAL, which is part of Japan’s
Dai-ichi
Life Group, has appointed Fiona Macgregor as its new group
chief executive and managing director, taking effect from 1
October.
Macgregor’s appointment follows the promotion of TAL’s current group CEO and MD Brett Clark to that of chief executive and MD of Asia-Pacific for Dai-ichi Life Group, at the start of July.

In the financial services sector for more than two decades, Macgregor spent the first part of her career with the Royal Bank of Scotland, building experience around innovation in European, US and Asian markets. She has also worked as an independent consultant. Macgregor holds an MA (Hons) business organisation from Heriot-Watt University and completed the Insead Advanced Management Program.
Macgregor will be responsible for leading TAL through its strategy in the life insurance and retirement markets with a focus on digitally-enabled market-leading customer and partner experience.
