Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? Trident Trust

The latest moves in wealth management from across Asia.

Trident Trust
Fund administrator Trident Trust is bulking up its Asia funds team with new personnel in Hong Kong and Singapore to serve clients in North Asia and South East Asia as demand rises. Appointing independent administrators has become a necessity as the Asian funds market matures, the group said.

Alternatives investment veteran Tony Kan will lead the group’s fund services business in China and North Asia, and a team of administrators, led by Jonathan Chan, is being added in Singapore, under the leadership of Tony Carr. New fund services, client liaison and onboarding services are also being added in Hong Kong and dedicated to serving Hong Kong and mainland China managers, the firm said.

Mark O’Sullivan, director of its Hong Kong business, said that the group is seeing “enormous growth potential" in servicing China-based fund managers, and it is “critical that we have the right people in place.”

Earlier this summer, Trident Trust appointed Turama Meha as a trust and corporate services manager in New Zealand, joining Lisa Gouws and Simon Holroyd in the team. In June last year, The Trident Trust Group appointed Mark O’Sullivan as managing director of its Hong Kong office.
