Bank J Safra Sarasin, the Swiss private banking group, has hired Sasja Beslik as head of sustainable finance development to further strengthen the value proposition of the Bank’s asset management.

Beslik, an environmental, social and governance financial expert, joins from Nordea Asset Management where he had been head of group sustainable finance since 2017. He joined Nordea in 2009 as head of responsible investments and identity and was promoted to chief executive of Nordea Investment Funds in 2011, while also being a consultant to the World Bank.

He was deputy CEO and head of stewardship and engagement at Banco Funds and ABN Amro Asset Management in Sweden from 2004 to 2009. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and journalism from Stockholm University.
