Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Nexus, MAS

The latest moves in senior executive roles in the Asia-Pacific wealth management market.

Regulatory technology start-up Nexus FrontierTech has appointed former senior Monetary Authority of Singapore figure David Hardoon as an independent advisor. Hardoon will provide counsel in the area of organisational growth and development and strategy.

At MAS, Hardoon was chief data officer and special advisor (artificial intelligence).

In his time at the regulator, Hardoon led the development of AI strategy for Singapore’s financial sector, driving efforts in promoting open cross-border data flows. He was MAS’ first appointed chief data officer and head of data analytics group and advises Singapore’s Corrupt Investigation Practices Bureau (CPIB) and the Central Provident Fund Board (CPF) as senior advisor (AI) and senior advisor (data science) respectively. Hardoon holds a PhD in computer science in the field of machine learning from the University of Southampton and graduated from Royal Holloway University of London with a first class honours BSc in computer science and artificial intelligence.

“David Hardoon is a fantastic addition to our Advisory Board, who advise us on high-growth critical organisational leadership and strategy,” Danny Goh, CEO of Nexus FrontierTech, said.

The Nexus FrontierTech’s senior advisor board includes Jim Sintros, president of Stilwell Foundation and former senior advisor at Monitor Consulting Group; Abdullah Alghamdi, CEO of United World, AMAS Holdings, and ex-Procter & Gamble Finance Manager; Stephen Hodges, PhD, president of Hult International Business School; Nick Fry, former CEO of Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One team; Nick Sandall, former vice chairman of Deloitte UK and co-head of Deloitte EMEA Financial Services; Jennifer Lewis, former MD and advisor to GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund; and Tom Yoritaka, former global managing director of Cisco Global Ventures.

Having closed a $3.8 million seed round late last year, Nexus FrontierTech is investing in R&D and business development growth in the Asian region.
