International law firm White & Case has expanded its global financial restructuring and insolvency practice and global private capital industry group, adding Tarun Warriar as a partner in Hong Kong.

Warriar’s practice spans financial restructuring and capital solutions transactions, and advising on distressed and complex situations across public and private markets in Asia-Pacific. 

His clients include hedge funds, private equity firms, debtors, creditors, bondholders, institutional investors and ad hoc creditors’ committees. He also has significant experience advising on India-focused investments and transactions. Tarun is joining White & Case from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, where he was a partner, prior to which he was managing director and Asia-Pacific general counsel at Värde Partners, a global investment firm specialising in credit and credit-related assets.
