Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Allspring Global Investments

The latest senior moves, appointments and personnel changes in the Asia-Pacific wealth management sector.

Allspring Global Investments™ has appointed Sam Lo as sales director for Hong Kong. His hire reinforces the company’s commitment to expanding its financial institutions presence across the region, the firm said in a statement.

Based in Hong Kong, Lo (pictured) is responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with financial institutions. He reports to Priscilla Phoon, head of Financial Institutions, APAC ex-Japan, who leads Allspring’s business development strategy for Asia wealth within the International Client Group.

Lo joined Allspring from Manulife Investment Management, where he served as associate director of partnership management. Before that, he held similar roles at Premia Partners and Goldman Sachs Asset Management, among others. Lo began his investment industry career in 2008. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.

“Sam’s appointment reflects our continued commitment to deepening client engagement and accelerating our expansion across Asia,” Phoon said. “His proven track record and deep expertise in wholesale will be incredibly valuable as we continue to grow our intermediary business in the region.”

Allspring Global Investments™ is an independent asset management company with more than $611 billion in assets under advisement, over 20 offices globally and investment teams supported by 370+ investment professionals.
